Status: I am actively investigating new opportunities, available immediately.
Objective: I am looking to work on creating highly structured products which are also both maintainable and well documented. Specific industries, languages, methodolologies, and tools are of less importance to me. Working in a team-based environment is also preferable, but not essential.
Deciding factors for me include commute time and work environment. Relocation along the West Coast of the US would be acceptable (reimbursed or not).
Recent projects: My most recent project was to design and develop the scheduling subsystem for Echo's flagship product, a web-based health care application. The Scheduler included todo lists, availability, overlap detection, complex recurrences, and a large number of tie-ins to the clinical and fiscal subsystems. Languages used include ColdFusion, dynamic HTML, CSS2, JavaScript, and SQL.
Prior to that, I was working on eBoat, a prototype web-based health care application: architecture, design, coding, and the development of "best coding practices". Languages used include ColdFusion, dynamic HTML, CSS1, JavaScript, and SQL.
Personal projects have included: a local restaurant guide, using XML, XSL, and the Perl XML::DOM module; a class model for the game of Clue, using Java and UML; and design of a generalized card game engine, using C++, XML, and UML.
