WELLINGTON, Oct 10 (Reuter) --

France's ambassador to New Zealand said on Tuesday he disliked references to French underground nuclear tests in the Pacific as bombs.

"I do not like this word 'bomb'. It is not a bomb, it is a device which is exploding," Jacques Le Blanc told New Zealand's National Press Club. Journalists greeted the remark with laughter.
