New Orleans court on answering machine restrictions

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (UPI) (28-Apr-97) --

Don Smith decided to take action after getting calls at 4 a.m. for pizza intended for Papa John's Pizza of New Orleans.

The managers of Papa John's said they understood. But they failed to see the humor.

Papa John's took Smith to court. They said Smith's revenge went too far. They won a court order against Smith's answering machine message, which said, "This is Papa Don's" and added it had been closed by the health department.
