SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (API) --

18 year old John Haley, his uncle, and another teenager were walking down the street when they saw police cars approaching from the opposite direction. In an attempt to get rid of the weapon he was carrying, Haley threw his gun on the ground. Unfortunately for him, upon the impact to the ground the gun went off and shot him in the head.

His uncle, Ron Lavell Dotson, 24, drove him to the hospital, but crashed through the emergency doors, injuring a hospital employee. He was arrested for vehicular negligent injury and driving while intoxicated.
